What is the difference between a moped and a scooter?
It is a legal definition. Mopeds are under 50cc, while scooters are over 50cc. We use the names interchangeably because most people call them all scooters. If you want a unit over 50cc or a two-person scooter, you must book through our motorcycle system and have a valid motorcycle license.

Do I need a motorcycle license?
No motorcycle license is required for 49cc mopeds.

Is riding experience required?
Yes. Two-wheel motorized experience is required. WE DO NOT PROVIDE BEGINNER RIDER TRAINING.

Can two people ride one moped?
No. Hawaii law allows only one rider on a 49cc moped.

Do you rent two-person scooters?
Yes. However, Hawaii law requires a motorcycle license or endorsement to carry a passenger.

Do you rent scooters larger than 50cc?
Yes, but Hawaii law requires a motorcycle license or endorsement.

What is the minimum age to rent?
Drivers must be at least 18 years old.

What type of driver’s license is required?
A valid driver’s license from any country is accepted.

Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome when inventory is available.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking a few days ahead during peak travel seasons.

Can I book online?
Yes. Our reservation system shows real-time inventory and pricing.

Can I book for someone else?
Yes, but the driver must meet all requirements and present ID at pickup.

Is there a deposit?
Yes, a small refundable security deposit is required.

What if I arrive late?
You may pick up anytime during your rental period, but the return time stays the same.

Can I extend my rental?
Usually yes, depending on availability.

What is your cancellation policy?
Most reservations include a 24-hour cancellation window.

Can I switch scooter models?
We try our best, but availability is not guaranteed.

Do you offer multi-day discounts?
Yes. Longer rentals cost less per day.

How long does pickup take?
Plan for 20–30 minutes.

What should I bring?
Driver’s license, credit card, and reservation confirmation.

Can I pick up early?
Early pickup depends on availability.

What if I return late?
Late fees apply. Contact us if you need more time.

Do I need to refill the gas?
Yes. Scooters are provided full and must be returned full.

Do you provide helmets?
Yes, helmets are included and encouraged.

Are helmets required by law?
No, but they are strongly recommended.

Do you provide a safety briefing?
Yes, every rental includes a full safety orientation.

Do scooters have locks?
Yes, every scooter includes a chain lock.

Are scooters inspected?
Yes, every scooter is inspected and maintained between rentals.

Do scooters have insurance?
Basic liability coverage is included for damage to others. Injury to the rider and theft or damage to the vehicle is the renter’s responsibility.

What happens if I get into an accident?
Contact us immediately and follow the provided steps.

How fast do the scooters go?
By law, mopeds are limited to 30 mph.

Where can I ride?
Anywhere regular traffic is allowed.

Where must I ride on the road?
Ride on the right side of the road and use bike lanes when available. Do not ride on sidewalks or boardwalks.

How many miles can I ride?
Mileage is unlimited.

Can I ride around the whole island?
Technically yes, but With a 30mph top speed, long distance riding is not recommended.  Also, each location has riding boundaries. If you leave the boundary and have an issue, you are responsible for returning the scooter.

What if the scooter breaks down?
Roadside assistance is provided within the riding boundary.

Can I ride at night?
Yes, scooters have headlights.

Do scooters have storage?
Yes, under-seat storage is included.

Can I bring beach gear?
Small bags fit easily under the seat.

Can I take it to the beach?
Absolutely!! Beach cruising is one of the best parts.

What if it rains?
Light rain is common and usually passes quickly. Rentals continue rain or shine.

Do you refund for bad weather?
Refunds are only offered for declared weather emergencies.

What should I wear?
Closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes, and sunglasses.

Are your scooters reliable?
Yes. We are a dealership and maintain our fleet professionally.
